Anyone in the world By Trevor Kugler The weather can impact your success or failure as an angler to a much greater degree than you may think. I used to just do fishing, with no regard for how the weather might impact my fishing trip, and have since learned how big a mistake that was. We all have less and less time to actually get out fishing in the first place, so paying attention to how the weather might influence our trip is a great idea. The examination of the weather will give us more insight into the behavior of fish than almost any other single study. Studying weather is also a great idea to help keep you out of situations like the one mentioned earlier. As we all know, being comfortable while fishing is also important and few things play a bigger role in an anglers comfort than the weather. Have you ever had the pleasure of standing in a river when the weather changes and you're not dressed for it? I know from experience that this is absolutely no fun. Without getting too crazy about how the weather impacts fishing, let's discuss those things that are easy to pay attention to. The first are fronts. There are 3 types of fronts: Cold Fronts, Warm fronts, and Stationary fronts. When you watch the weather on the news, fronts are the lines on the weather map. They're normally red for warm fronts, blue for cold fronts, and a combination of read and blue for stationary fronts. When a front passes over the river, stream or lake that you intend on fishing, it effects the behavior of the fish. Here's an example, As a cold front passes, the temperature and humidity fall and air pressure begins to rise. The passing of a cold front is generally thought to have a negative effect on fishing. I've heard many people say that fish seem to have lock-jaw immediately following a cold front. And on the other hand, the passing of a warm front often implies that inclement weather is approaching and air pressures may fall (which is important to fishermen). Many people think of warm fronts as fish catching fronts. Many biologists attribute heavy feeding activity prior to the passage of a front to the fact that the passage of a front very often means winds and storms, which cloud the water and make feeding more difficult. There's something to keep in mind. The bottom line is that the weather effects the behavior and feeding activity of the fish and can be used to the anglers advantage. When fronts pass, the barometric pressure changes. When the atmospheric pressure fluctuates, it affects the air bladders in fish. A fishes' air bladder is what it uses to stabilize itself at different depths of water. When a fishes' air bladder isn't feeling right it won't want to eat. Do you feel like eating when you have an upset stomach? Well fish dont either, and changes in pressure can give them an 'upset stomach'. These are the basic ways that the weather impacts the behavior of fish. You can do more research and get as crazy as you would like about the effect the weather has on fishing, but these basics are all that I need. I increase my odds of catching fish, by paying attention to the weather and fishing accordingly. You can do the same thing, and increase your odds as well. Anyone in the world By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Brandi_Clark] Brandi Clark Each year two million Americans acquire hospital infections and over 90,000 of those people will die. This is an alarming statistic to say the least. Hospitals are where one goes to get well not feel worse. But unfortunately, while a hospital is a place of healing it can also be a safe haven for germs. For instance, when the doctor goes to a patient's room they usually either shake hands with that patient or they have to touch the patient when performing a medical exam. Assume that patient has a contagious illness and the doctor accidentally forgets to wash his hands when he comes into your room. He performs the necessary medical exam on you and of course his hands and that other person's germs are on you! When a doctor comes into your room politely ask them if they have washed their hands before the medical exam. It is also imperative that you as the patient wash your hands constantly while in the hospital. Remember, that before you were in that room someone else that was sick was in that room and may have had spreadable germs. So when you touch the bathroom door handle, the telephone, the tv remote, or the nurse call system, remember that you are potentially picking up unwanted illnesses. These items will have all been cleaned each time a patient is discharged from the hospital but we all know that no cleaner kills 100 percent of all germs. Hospital spread infections have become a serious problem. As the patient, it is your responsibility to watch out for your health care. It is vital that you reduce the chance of infection as best as possible so that you will not develop any unwanted medical illnesses. Anyone in the world By Ron LeBlanc Have you asked yourself that question lately? I did and I decided the answer was yes. Let me tell you what led up to it. I have been using realtors to purchase some of my investment properties. The Multiple Listing Services can be a great place to find properties, and one has to be a licensed realtor in the US to access them. Im not sure what the laws are in other countries, so this discussion will be of only the US. Each time I buy a property, the realtor collects almost 3% at the closing, and in order to sell properties quickly, I also list with a realtor and pay almost 6%. I always assumed it was a real pain to go through the process to become a realtor, and besides, I am a real estate investor why would I want to be a realtor? A realtor that I used where I live in Boulder told me I should get my license just to invest in real estate. He explained that in Colorado I could do an online course for as little as $795 and take the exam then host with Keller-Williams for way under $100 per month. I never realized it would be that inexpensive. When he also explained that after my first few deals that there was NO SPLIT on personal deals I was sold! One of the things we investors like to do is get cash at closing. I have my strategy to do just that now! I have a financer who does 100% investor financing and now I can collect the buyers agent commission at closing! Cha-ching! Selling my properties is easy because I can do my own listing on the MLS and not pay a listing agent fee. I would say an equally compelling reason I chose to become a realtor is for the access to the MLS. You might say that is not important, but even when you are buying a for sale by owner or FSBO, you must have a good idea what it is worth. No one can know all possible neighborhoods, so if you want to do a lot of shopping, you have to run a lot of comparables. Some realtors may run several for you some may run quite a few, but I like the idea of sitting down myself and doing my own market analysis. Yes, I know there are other ways of getting data, but nothing beats the MLS for convenience. I trust my own analysis over anyone elses, so the access to data means a lot to me. That is why I made the decision to get my license. I get more information and control and the cost is recovered in just one personal deal. Yes, there is a time commitment to a company, but it will not deter you from your investing activity. If you disagree with me and want to use a realtor, then if you are anywhere near Boulderby all means call me Copyright 2006 Ron LeBlanc Ron LeBlanc is a real estate investor who is a licensed realtor in Colorado. Anyone in the world By Christine Akiteng Having emotional value is an incredibly powerful currency when it comes to dating (and relationships). But what does emotional value mean? Your emotional value is the degree that a man or woman perceives you as potentially contributing to their happiness. It is the most important filter by which both men and women determine how to spend their time and energy. When a man or woman agrees to go out on a date with you, he or she is (sub-consciously) tuned to look for a type of energy or mood of life that tells him or her that you have the ability to bring new and uplifting emotional experiences into his or her life and that merging his or her life with you is more interesting and worthwhile than it would be if he or she were single and alone. The higher your emotional value the more likely that a man or woman will want to spend more time with you and explore the possibilities of a relationship. If you are perceived as having very low emotional value (or are an emotional risk) you end up not being worth the effort. Unfortunately most of the time, many men and women are too preoccupied with the superficial feelings of physical attraction that they fail to recognize the more elementary, more significant inner process. You think you have the whole physical, mental and financial package and hit it off great but you get rejected for reasons you dont understand. And if you ask him or her if there is something about you that they are unsure of, he/shell probably tell you everything about you is okay but you suspect that is not true because he or she is stalling. If you know what your emotional value to the opposite sex is, you can figure out how to help them see why and how life with you is more interesting and worthwhile than life without you. This lays a foundation for emotional connection and intimacy. But if you dont know what your emotional value is, dating (and relationships) is a gamble a lot of trying this and trying that. Very often youll make an emotional investment without knowing where the other person is coming from or where you fit into in their plan (mistake). You either find yourself being put on eternal hold or getting hurt. By lightening your hair you will make your skin look instantly more radiant and give it a healthy glow. 2. Layers highlight the skin If you have heavy hair that falls close to the face it will put your skin in the shade and make your complexion look dull and lifeless. If you want to look younger dont shade your face. You should go for shorter layers to allow movement and allow your skin to come forward and shine. Anyone in the world By David Chong TC Just the other day I was using my camera to take pictures at a popular photographic scene. I looked to my left and right and noticed that there were a lot of tourists as well as a professional photographers. All of them were holding various types of cameras from small compact ones that you can put into your pocket to huge gigantic ones which require a carrying bag almost the size of my luggage. The site of the Niagara Falls was so awesome that during the day and throughout the night, there are people there to watch the spectacular and majestic sight. While the camera I was holding onto was not as small as those compact sized camera, it is nothing compared to those professionals. You will know they are professionals, by looking at the amount gadgets sticking out of a camera. For instance a man to my left, had a huge tripod as tall as my shoulders with remote controls stuck to its handle and at the lens of the camera, there sticks out 3 feet of lenses so huge, they were almost as long as my arm! I was almost intimidated by the size of that camera that I almost forgot about the camera hanging around my neck. However after a short time, thinking of the troubles I've made just to reach here, I had better take a few shots back for memory. Though I envy the man with the huge array of camera equipment he possessed, I also wonder how much he must had spent on that thing. However if he was in a business in selling his pictures, he had better have good quality and beautiful shots. I took the courage and when ahead to ask that man what it takes to get a good shot and what his camera can do that mine can't. This is what he told me, a tripod will hold the camera steady, the remote control can control the camera to take shots, to zoom in and out, and to adjust the focus so to minimize the chances of tipping or distorting the angle of the camera. The lenses sticking out, can help to enhance the picture as compared to the digital zoom on a digital camera. Though those lenses may cause a few hundred bucks apiece, it is well worth the investment when photography your hobby. While the majority of us will be contented with pictures that we take with our camera; though they may be worse looking than our everyday postcards; those of you who likes quality photos, buying those camera equipments will not be a waste of money, but an investment for your photo album. Anyone in the world By Hector Milla The very essence of Reiki is healing using natural methods, but it does not concern any religion or cult at all. This is with firm conviction that even though Reiki is spiritual in nature, it does not advocate any kind of belief. Faith here depends on the persons individual capability of believing on the effectiveness of Reiki towards him. There is no particular teaching or Dogma that you must learn in order to be cured by Reiki. Most people just associate Reiki with God because of the unexplainable healing process and effect that it provides them after undergoing the treatment. This is probably due to a certain therapeutic technique and Divine intervention that heals them. Like in any other form of healing, it is only natural to ask for Gods guidance. The term Reiki is derived from the Japanese term Rei, which means Gods Wisdom or the Higher Power. The name itself suggests about the participation of the guidance of God in healing but does not necessarily imply that it is a religion. The Ki also means life force energy. To join and decipher this two terms, it simply means spiritually guided life force energy. Reiki is already proven effective in curing people through all walks of life. The goal of Reiki is to make people realize that in healing ones spirit, he should possess all the willingness and commitment since it is a part of the healing experience. To establish a lasting effect of the Reiki treatment, the client must do his responsibilities by participating in all the activities that he need to take part in the healing process. It should be a collaborative effort between the healer and the client. Anyone in the world By Glen D. Williams I often hear of people who feel they've failed God or He's abandoned them because they didn't receive what they asked for in prayer. I remember having the same thoughts as a teenager, not knowing that God isn't like the simplistic "vending machine" I was taught about as a child. In fact, I now know God is honored by our prayer requests and answers every one, just not always exactly as we expect. To illustrate the surprising ways He answers prayer, this article will document 5 years of our lives when it often seemed nothing was getting through to Him. The First Prayer: After 7 years of ministry and a BA degree, I was finally on the fast track in ministry. I had a very responsible pastor position at a large church and what the senior pastor was saying hinted at good things to come for years. Finally time to fulfill some of our dreams. Marsha and I began looking for land and found a beautiful 5 acre parcel, commuting distance from our jobs. We agreed with the owner on price and general terms and set an appointment to walk the property and sign a contract the next Sunday. Marsha and I asked God to give us this land for our home so we can have a place of peace away from the stresses of work, but, if it isn't His will, to have the deal fall through. That Sunday morning, the owner called to tell us he had changed his mind about selling. I was so devastated I couldn't talk to God about it for three months. When I did, I told Him how disappointed I was that He didn't allow us to buy it. At that moment, I felt as if He had said back to me, "I have something better in mind for you." Tucking that away in my heart, I continued serving Him. The Second Prayer: Within two years of my "fast track" it became apparent I was no longer to serve God at that church. I left, and sought His will for my future. I asked God for a senior pastor position because none of the staff positions I had in the past ever allowed me to serve Him only...just church and denomination politics. I felt I had been given the go-ahead and began seeking senior pastor posts. We were offered 6 different senior pastor posts and each time God let us know He had something better in mind. After a year of searching and not finding, I got very frustrated with God. I questioned myself and my faith and finally settled on the idea that I would seek God "outside the box." Instead of expecting a ministry position in traditional churches and denominations, I would ask God what He wanted and accept His will...even if it meant I sweep floors for a living. In my regular prayer times, things I had forgotten were brought to mind. Because I used computers and software for my Bible college assignements, one of my instructors had said to the class, "Open your minds to God doing new works. Maybe Glen will start a huge computer ministry, or Sally will do..." It seemed nothing at the time, but had a new weight, now. I was reminded of a Christmas play, when a character was searching for help with his life on the Internet, but coudn't find anything, because God wasn't on the Internet. Then I was reminded how easy it was for me to find information about my brother's cancer on the Internet, and it clicked. I felt God wanted me to help people find Him when they searched on the Internet for solutions to life problems. With much fear and trembling, I proceeded to research this possibility. After the first year, the Internet ministry took off, with a thousand people searching onto our site each day. Many wrote for help with problems. We started a prayer team and discipleship program. This ministry was a success, except for one thing...people weren't donating money. After spending thousands to get it started, we were spending hundreds of dollars each month to keep it going. I sold used books and did some lame advertising on our site to try to generate revenue, with modest success, until Marsha lost her job. Then we needed income to support us as well as the ministry. As her severance benefits and unemployment were running out, we decided to start an espresso business, found a location, had plans drawn up, got a loan on our house and got shot down by the building department. I told Marsha, for some reason I was at peace and knew God would take care of us. It felt strange to have that peace with none of my important and earnest prayers answered and no idea what we were going to do when her unemployment ran out the next month. One week before her last unemployment check, Marsha got reinstated by the U.S. Forest Service. It meant moving to a more rural area, which I had wanted anyway. We looked for a home but couldn't ever see one, they were selling so fast. We found a 20 acre parcel and buoght it, sold our home and began building our dream home. Once we moved in, the Lord led me to online advertising programs that would cover the ministry costs plus pay me more as we grow. Our little ministry website has grown to 3 websites with over 1,500 pages and online support communities. We have reached 3,000 visitors a day and over 10 each day find Jesus as the answer to their problems. God Didn't Give Us What We Prayed For. We asked for a five acre parcel and got 20 acres at a lower cost. We prayed for a senior pastor position and got a successful evangelism ministry. God gave us nothing that we asked for...He gave us much more. Trust me when I say we are nobody special. God loves you every bit as much as He loves us. I can tell you from personal experience that, even when it seems He hasn't heard, He is answering every prayer. I can also promise you that God will answer your prayer with one of two answers: "Yes!" or "I have something better for you." Praise Him! Anyone in the world By Terry Edwards Many people ask if an underground sprinkler system is really worth it? Does it really help improve your lawn and landscape in general? Will, I think you probably already know the answer. Yes, an underground sprinkler system will help green up your yard as well as provide you with an incredible convenience. We all are envious when we see that lush green lawn down the street. It tells everyone that the homeowner takes good care of their landscaping. But, what you may not realize is that some of this care is done automatically with their underground sprinkler system. The keys to having a green lawn are pretty basic. You need sunlight and water. Controlling the sunlight is out of your hands of course, but watering your grass is not. The problem most people have is taking the time to water their grass. Who really has the time to chase around the lawn sprinkler attached to your garden hose? None of us do. That's where an underground sprinkler system can be a big asset. With a sprinkler system you get the benefits of: -A scheduled time of watering your grass throughout the week. You set the schedule and the sprinkler system does the rest. -The convenience of not having to move a lawn sprinkler around and keep track of how long you've watered an area, etc. -Conservation. You won't be wasting water by forgetting to move the sprinkler and having water going down the drain. -The ability to water every area of your yard, including shrubs, small trees, and even your garden on a set watering schedule. As you can see, having an underground sprinkler system is much more than a luxury or a convenience. It's really a key element in having a happy and healthy lawn. Yes, you'll still need to mow the yard and put on the fertilizer and weed killer, but an underground sprinkler system will take care of the most important part; keeping your grass watered. Terry Edwards is the owner of SprinklersA-z, a website providing great information on lawn sprinklers.
