Metallic Wind Chimes
by gunter emond - Wednesday, 5 March 2008, 07:02 AM
Anyone in the world

By Eric Morris Did you know that you could make your own metallic wind chimes using items that can be found in your house? All you need are metal bottle caps, some cord, bent or unused metal utensils, a colander or saucepan lid, and some glue and glitter. Start by drilling holes on the center of each metal bottle cap. You can flatten the caps with a hammer or leave them as is. Decorate the caps either with gold or silver paint or coat them with glue and shake them inside a container filled with glitter. Allow the glue and glitter to dry. String together the caps on various lengths of fine cord. Be sure to tie the ends so the caps do not slip off. You can pack as many caps as you want in a single cord or tie a knot after each cap. Afterwards, tie the end of the cord with a ring metal to secure it. Your homemade wind chime is now ready to hang. You may also collect silver-plated forks and spoons from various thrift shops and garage sales. Bend the stems and come up with interesting shapes using a vice or any similar tool. Drill holes on top of the stems and hang various lengths of fishing line from a colander or lid of saucepan with holes drilled on the edges. Use a cord or a fine chain to make a wire loop for hanging. Seashells can also be used to make interesting wind chimes. Start by collecting large flat shells, sand dollars, and big conch shells. Make holes in each individual shell. Get the biggest shell and insert a fine chain through the hole you created. Tie crystals, sea-worn glass, or even dried seaweed on the chain according to your artistic taste. If you start making your own wind chimes, you will not only get a beautiful dcor for your house, you will gain personal satisfaction from making something artistic with your own hands. All about Diet Pills

By Byiban Antony The body is composed of muscle, skeleton, skin, bone and organs [liver, kidney, brain etc]. All the parts of the body are getting their nutrients through blood. Our body needs energy for it function. The energy is derived from the food. The excess energy is converted in to fat and stored in the body in the farm of fat. This accumulated fat is stored all over the body. This accumulated fat increases your body weight. The heart is put under stress to pump blood for this extra fat. This results in high blood pressure. High blood pressure if not controlled may lead to stroke and heart attack. Hence excess body weight is not at all desirable. The moment people want to reduce their weight; they will start doing exercises or start following crash diet. Of course both diet and exercise can help you to shed some weight. Of late there are many diet pills are available in the market, which are used widely by many people who are overweight or obese. These diet pills bring about the desired results rather quickly. Let us discuss about some of them here. Although diet pills are working like anything to reduce your body weight, there are some diet pills to be concerned about. You should stay away from over-the-counter diet drugs. The first and foremost thing you should do is consulting your health care professional to discuss more conventional diets. It is more important that the diet pills should be used under strict medical supervision. Moreover you should do lifestyle changes to lose the weight and keep it off. Take careful in buying diet pills if youre looking to drop just a few pounds. These weight loss and diet pills try to make the digestive process more efficient and to mask your appetite. It is not advisable to use diet pills alone to reduce your weight but it requires a simple plan for weight loss through an improved diet and regular exercise. Do follow the manufacturers instruction as well as your physicians when using any diet pill. This is just like that of any medication as your own safety. You should not use the diet pills more than 4-6 weeks without consulting your doctor. Feel free to consult your doctor about when to stop. All of us know that diet pills are very much useful in weight loss. In addition to this, the diet pills action includes improving overall health and lowering the health risks encountered during overweight. Many clinical studies confirmed that most of the diet pills helps the body to use blood sugar effectively and decrease fats, cholesterol and blood pressure. Marketing, Marketing, Marketing

By Ian Christie On my mind and the minds of a lot of my clients recently is marketing. Whether you run a small business, are self-employed, work for someone else or are on the job hunt, MARKETING IS KEY. Ultimately, your ability to thrive, to survive no matter what the circumstances, to succeed where others fail, to make bold changes in your life will be in great part due to your ability to market YOU. If you are in the job market, you are marketing yourself, what you can do for a prospective employer and how you fit into their organization. If you are employed and you have career development goals, you better be engaging in effective marketing activities to build your personal brand and expand your network. If you are self-employed, your first product is you. The quality of the service you provide is as important, but without the consistent ability to market yourself, you will fail. If you run a small business, there is certainly more emphasis tied to the brand and the product / service, but again, there is a fine line, and in some cases, that small business is all about you and your attractiveness to the market. I love marketing. There are so many ways to go about it, and I think it is important for you to pick the right mix of activities to complement you and what you are selling. Networking, of course, is a key part of the marketing puzzle, and again, there are different ways to network. Performance Anxiety
by gunter emond - Saturday, 1 March 2008, 11:26 PM
Anyone in the world

By Richard Romando Performance, or non-generalized, anxiety disorder is a type of social anxiety disorder that affects a person when they are confronted with specific performance situations that increase their anxiety. The same activity when performed alone may not produce anxiety but an attempt to perform it publicly makes them nervous and uncomfortable. There is a feeling of fear of being under the scrutiny by others. Some of the examples of performance anxiety are singing in public, reading, presenting a report at an office meeting and public speeches. Unlike generalized anxiety where the person is under stress most of the time, regardless of the appropriate reason, performance anxiety is milder and is only under specific situation. Under normal circumstances, the person remains calm. Performance anxiety has no physical medical implication directly. However, a person, in order to perform the activity, may take high doses of drugs or alcohol, which may be injurious to health. The symptoms of performance anxiety are similar to the generalized anxiety like sweating, trembling and palpitations but occur only when a person is confronted with the situation. Performance anxiety is predictable, unlike the generalized anxiety where it becomes difficult to identify which situation may trigger the fear or anxiety. The treatment of performance anxiety includes both medication therapy and behavior therapy. Medication therapy involves use of medicines to relieve the patients from depression and calm them. Behavior therapy involves counseling so that there is a decrease in the avoidance of a specific situation. It helps the patient develop coping skills. The therapy also focuses on self-esteem, anger, fear and other psychological issues. Performance anxiety generally starts in the mid-teens when a person starts interacting with others and starts performing various activities in public. Performance anxiety should be checked at an early age so that it does not affect future of the person as an adult. Anxiety provides detailed information on Anxiety, Anxiety and Panic Attacks, Anxiety Treatment, Depression and Anxiety and more. Anxiety is affiliated with Social Anxiety Disorder Symptoms. Secured Debt Consolidation Loans - Get Rid Of Previous Debts In One Go
by gunter emond - Thursday, 28 February 2008, 01:13 AM
Anyone in the world

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Peter_Taylor]Peter Taylor With availing loans now becoming increasingly easier, large number of borrowers now faces the familiar problem of expenses outgrowing income. They take loans for almost each and every purpose. Some of these loans are taken at a higher interest rate, which become a financial burden. Secured debt consolidation loans come to the rescue of such borrowers, as it is designed to help in eliminating previous debts. The borrower can improve his credibility also when he opts for secured debt consolidation loans. If the loan is taken carefully it solves all the debt worries of the borrower so that he may make a new beginning. Before you start looking around for the [http://www.easyfinance4u.com/secured_debt_consolidation_loans.html]Secured Debt Consolidation Loans, first of all you should find out the amount you would need to pay off previous debts. To do this, make a total of all those debts including the interest on them to arrive at the sum you require. You can even take the services of a debt expert who will advise you on the amount you actually need. After you have pinpointed an amount you would require, the next step is to put a property of your own as collateral with the lender. Any property like home, car or even savings account serves the purpose of collateral. On the basis of the collateral the borrower can ask for the desired amount. Normally lenders provide secured debt consolidation loans in the range of 5000 to 50000.If the borrower requires even larger amount because of high previous debts then the lender will look at the value of the collateral. If the collateral is of high value the borrower will get desired amount. Though normally the rate of interest remains lower in secured debt consolidation loan, still high value collateral becomes an added advantage in demanding lower rate of interest. The repayment of secured debt consolidation loan usually is spread to a convenient duration of up to 25 years. The borrowers have the option of paying secured debt consolidation loan either in monthly or quarterly installments. Borrowers with high value collateral are offered the maximum repayment term. A lot depends on the borrowers loan repayment reputation, which the lenders often judge by looking at the borrowers credit score. Higher the credit score, higher are the chances of extracting lower interest rate and greater amount from the lender. So it would be a good strategy to update the credit record, which is compiled by one of the three credit rating agenciesExperian, Equifax and Transunion. Credit score of 620 and above is considered favorable and safe by the lenders Secured debt consolidation loans are also the best option for those borrowers who want to improve creditability, as the loan is taken mostly for the purpose of eliminating previous debts Surely, those borrowers who have many previous debts should opt for secured debt consolidation loans as they get this loan easily by putting property as collateral without selling it. Things To Think About When Choosing A Beauty Product
by gunter emond - Wednesday, 27 February 2008, 09:33 AM
Anyone in the world

By Judy Sweet When you are trying and needing to decide on a beauty product, There are several things you will need to consider first. By taking time and effort beforehand, you will be able to choose smartly on a beauty product that is excellent for you, and so obviously the time and effort spent beforehand will be well worth it in the end. Some Recommendations to look for when choosing a Beauty Product: 1, If you have any allergies you need to take this into consideration because you would not want to buy a beauty product that could affect your health. 2, Take into consideration your skin type. If you have oily skin for example you don't want to buy a Beauty Product that enhances your oily skin, the same would apply if you have dry skin you would not want a Beauty Product that will dry skin even more. 3, You also want to take cost into consideration as while some expensive beauty products are worth it there are of course some that are far too expensive. It can take some time to determine if products are worth buying or not but in the long run and can save you a lot of money. Most beauty stores will let you try the products on as testers before you buy them, this what you really want so you can see which beauty products work with your skin, hair and what ever else. you can quite easily make a day of this and enjoy trying out all the beauty products that are on offer. How To Kiss Like A Mad French
by gunter emond - Tuesday, 26 February 2008, 08:15 AM
Anyone in the world

By Ronnie Man Learn the basics and get the basics right, make an experiment and try different styles and more advanced techniques. The basics is... Brush your teeth, get a good bath, nicely groomed and clean and fresh, before meeting the other person. It will be worse a thing if kissing with the smell of a garbage truck. Get into a comfortable position because you can't kiss if your back feels like it's gonna break. Hold your lover , firmly but gently and don't cause pain. Try to hold the shoulders, the neck or gently on the side of the face, one side or both sides. Move your faces closer. Don't bump noses. Suggestion would be the guy angle his face slightly so you don't bump noses. Kiss gently, normal closed lips kissing, with close your eyes. By closing your eyes increases the sensations, and also sets the mood. Continue kissing gently. Get comfortable with simple closed lips. If fine till here, slowly and lightly draw your tongue across the other person's lips. Chances are from here, if the other person lightly parts her tongue slowly try to explore the other person's tongue in a light licking motion. The tongue has a very sensitive surface, which is why tongue to tongue is the essence of french kissing. After you've tried lightly licking the other person's tongue, you can try sucking on it and other things like that. Explore the other areas of the mouth. Especially the roof of the mouth. Lightly lick, or tickle the area with your tongue. Don't bite. whatever you do, don't bite. Don't swing your tongue round and round like a windmill. Breathe through your nose. Breathe through your nose. Breathe through your nose. You can lightly use your hands too, lightly rubbing the other person along the waist, along the back, the arms, especially the inside of the arm, the neck, maybe running your fingers through her hair. Again, don't cause pain. Check out http://the-art-of-kissing.blogspot.com for more about getting kissing tips. Your Free Agent Career -- It's the Perfect Time to Apply Some CPR
by gunter emond - Monday, 25 February 2008, 01:28 PM
Anyone in the world

By Chris King This is always a good time of year in which to reflect on where we've been and where we are going. It is also the perfect opportunity to plan ways to infuse our careers as free agents with extra "life." So, let's give them some CPR. C stands for Consistency; P stands for Patience; and R stands for Responsibility. C stands for Consistency. How consistent are you in pursuing the areas important for your future? Free agents tend to fall into the class known as "Creatives." Creative people often jump from one task to another, which keeps us enthusiastic, always thinking and busy. But, the downside is that we don't add the consistency needed for success to our marketing, our setting and pursuing the necessary goals, our life-long learning, our networking, and to the overall strategy of our business. Consistency pays off! It is not easy to set a particular schedule for all of the tasks we have to perform -- I know. My greatest challenge it to keep my life on track. How consistently do you market, even when you have more projects than you can handle? How consistently do you take time to set written goals and review them? How consistently do you take classes and read the latest books and magazines in your areas of interest and career aspirations? How consistently do you take the time to attend networking events and meetings and/or stay in touch with people you can help or can help you in the future? Have you taken the time to form a business strategy and do you follow it consistently? P stands for Patience. How patient are you about waiting for the results? As creative people, we are always generating new and exciting ideas. The problem is that we may pursue the new idea for a short time. Then when nothing happens quickly, we abandon that idea or practice and try something else. I am not suggesting that you stick with one and only one idea. I am suggesting, however, that I have found that if I pursue a good idea consistently, and remain patient, I reap the rewards and benefits eventually. Lack of patience and belief that an idea will work with time are the enemies! R stands for Responsibility. We are the ones who are responsible for ourselves and our lives. Even though I know that bad things can happen to good people, I also know that we are responsible for how we react to those "bad things." Yes, even when life isn't fair (and it often isn't), even when we suffer rejection (and a lot abounds for free agents), and even when we are out of work and out of money (I've been there, and it isn't fun), I still know that I am responsible for my life and my situation. I can sit around (or lie down), moan, groan and complain about the problems and vicissitudes of my life, or I can take responsibility and move forward. I may sound like a Pollyanna, but if there is one lesson I've learned it is that Earl Nightingale was correct when he said that the World's Greatest Secret is, "We become what we think about all day long." If we believe that no matter how hard our life's position appears to be at the time, if we take responsibility for our thoughts and our future, apply our ideas on a consistent basis and remain patient, we will succeed. So, apply CPR to your life and career, and 2006 will be your best year yet! Chris King is a free agent, professional speaker, storyteller, writer, website creator / designer, and fitness instructor. Keep on Singing
by gunter emond - Sunday, 24 February 2008, 08:03 AM
Anyone in the world

By Saundra L. Washington The prisoners of Sing Sing, one of the most repressive, oppressive and dehumanizing penal institutions ever erected on the grounds of New York, were prohibited from singing during their incareration. The authorities felt that it would contribute to prison disturbance and ultimately, chaotic discord. Unlike the prisoners of Sing Sing, the prisoners of Babylon were forced to sing. Judah had been invaded by the superpower Babylon, broken under the siege, and their beloved and holy Jerusalem had been crushed. The walls had been broken down, the temple demolished and the surviving Judean people taken helplessly to the homeland of the arrogantly victorious Babylonian army. In Babylon, their captors thought it amusing to force the defeated foreigners to sing hymns and religious songs in their strange language. But the prisoners were overcome by their loss and they asked, "How can we sing the songs of the Lord while in a foreign land?" (Psalms 137:4 NIV). I believe those of us living in the 21st century can relate to the cries of the Judean prisoners. We often hear the term "globalization" which basically refers to the fact that the world has grown smaller and more interconnected. But has it? Many of us are finding ourselves in a strange land without traveling anywhere. America has, in many, many ways, become alien to us, has it not? Technological, cultural, political, religious, agricultural, international changes make us all outdated and foreign as the decades speed by. Familiar landmarks, familiar customs, familiar traditions are things to be found only in the recesses of our memories. With so much of what was once familiar being replaced by the unfamiliar, we find ourselves living in a strange and alien land. The demands on us to "keep up," "buy this," "eat right," "raise your children this way," "take responsibility," "defy aging," "learn a second language," and so forth, has resulted in many of us finding ourselves residing on unfamiliar ground. How can we sing the songs of the Lord while in a foreign land? If your experience is at all like mine, you wake in the morning to news of death in the Middle East, news of killings in our own back yard, and we go to bed with the same news, different characters. It wasn't so long ago that the New York Times reported a study that showed that people who followed the news carefully gets less sleep, particularly those who watch the late night news before going to bed. Our sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles in Iraq are far from home risking their lives with no clear end in sight. We wait and watch the news not knowing exactly what to hope for except for the safe return of our loved ones. Many Iraqis must be feeling the same way. "By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept when we remembered Zion" (Psalms 137:1 NIV). All over the Middle East and elsewhere there are people far from home in alien territory wondering, How can we sing the songs of the Lord while in a foreign land? The Christian community is always, in some sense, away from home; a band of exiles whose hopes are fixed on another home, the New Jerusalem. How can we, in the meantime, sing the Lord's song in a foreign land? We sing because we must. It is not optional, it is obligatory. We must sing it as those prisoners sang it in the Japanese camps in the Pacific. We sing it as Black slaves did in the cotton fields of the south. We sing it as the Jews did in the concentration camps of Auschwitz. We sing it as the soldiers did in Viet Nam. We sing the Lord's song even though the world is not as it should be. We sing it to sustain us; we sing in defiance; and we sing it as a bold sign to the world of our hope in Jesus Christ. As earth aliens, how can we raise our voices in song when the planet is stressed out and its people spiritually dislocated? We sing the Lord's song as a gesture of hope, as an act of trust and confidence that God is not finished with the human race yet. We sing the Lord's song not only to keep our spirits up, not only in defiance to show our dissatisfaction with the way things are, but we sing it in faith. We sing the Lord's song in the sure and certain hope that the God who has been at work all through human history is still at work and in full control. We will keep on singing, even with tears in our eyes, even with sorrow in our hearts, and even with heavy burdens on our backs. We will sing the Lord's song because it is a song that defies present realities, refuses to accept that the world has the last word. We sing songs of peace and love, kindness and compassion, justice and equality. We sing, not of what is, but of what will be. We will keep on singing however far from home we may be. As my preacher mentor and spiritual father used to tell the congregation, "Sing children, sing." Saundra L. Washington, an ordained clergywoman and social worker, has practiced concurrently in the fields of social work and ministry for almost three decades.
